  1. The Family Tree

Weddings are the coming together of two people and their two families! What better way to celebrate the joining together of two tribes than a photo display of the bride and groom’s relatives? We love that this couple literally used a tree to display family photos, but you could use anything! String them up around the reception hall, place them on tables, the shy’s the limit. It’s a great way to celebrate your family history.

2. Engagement Photos

Engagement photos have become a popular choice for photo displays at wedding receptions, or in the gathering spaces before the ceremony. Some couples choose to display one or two big, eye-catching portraits as focal points for a certain area of the reception. Others choose to display several smaller photos in creative ways - like strung up on pallets and twinkle lights or inside of rustic wooden crates. These photo galleries are meant to tell your unique love story - and who doesn’t LOVE a LOVE STORY?

3. Childhood Pictures

This trend is adorable and always a popular hit with guests. So sweet and romantic. Show us those fun, silly childhood photos! Your parents will love the job of collecting them and your guests will love talking about them! And there’s a good chance your new bride/groom will also LOVE to see them! Childhood photos add a really beautiful element of nostalgia and continuity to the festivities.

4. The Memorial Gallery

It’s wonderful to acknowledge those loved ones who are unable to be physically present at your big day, but who are with you in spirit. Adding a memorial area, where photos of passed loved ones are displayed for guests to visit and appreciate, is a really great way to honor those important people in your life and acknowledge the absence in a comforting way.

5. Bridal Portraits

Bridal portrait displays are a timeless classic. Often, brides like to blow these pictures up to be big and eye-catching. They serve as great focal points, and can draw guests to certain areas that they may otherwise overlook - like a guest book or a fun activity.

No matter how you choose to do it, sharing photos at your wedding reception is a great way to engage with your guests, share your journey and your family, and celebrate all the love around you.
