Most people have a favorite flower. Right? Don't we all? It's spring and we are all loving the flowers. Come on.

While I'll admit, I have a few favorites, I can get silly, really, truly giddy, and literally frolic with any and all flowers. I love the colors, the magic in the details, the smells, the life inside and around them. I love getting up close and personal to see, to smell and to know them intimately. And if you’ve been around with 621 Studios, you know, I love photographing them.

I love the world that explodes when I do. How much more intimately the details and magic reveal themselves when freeze framed and explored with super sonic light and the power of Canon's 22.3 Megapixels, when I can zoom inside and print the flowers larger than life and pretend I'm a butterfly or a fairy hypnotized by the power of it's beauty.

Last year, I sincerely and joyfully wept while editing a batch of tulip portraits, something I'd never done before. The beauty of the flower projected through an artistic eye coupled with the brilliant display of the mastered technique brought me to tears.

This personal project has officially bloomed into something of its own and rightfully deserves it's own space and it's own distinctly special name. I am so excited to present the newest special project of 621 Studios:
