Wedding Wednesday; Celebrating 1 Year of Bliss!

Today we want to give a little love to Kerry & Steve, who got married ON THIS DAY last year!!! And oh what a beautiful day it was! We’ve LOADED this post with pictures so you understand just how beautiful we’re talking.

Kerry had SUCH an exquisite eye for color coordination and design, and you could just see her little touches in everything.

Her sweet bff made the shawl she’s wearing in many of the pictures, which was just so special. Steve is just a fun guy to be around, with a great sense of humor and I truly loved shooting this wedding.

They got married at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Harrisonburg, which of course was beautiful, but they got ready, and had their reception at the Granary at Valley Pike. Let me tell you, this place is so GORGEOUS. The team at Valley Pike is totally on point, the bridal suit was so perfectly put together and made for such a comfortable and elegant place to get prettied-up and prepare for those vows. I mean really, we cannot recommend it highly enough.

The reception space at the granary was just as gorgeous. Between the string lights and the draperies and the dark wood beams - it was like a fairy tale.

And one more thing - I can’t believe I’m going to share this but it just speaks to how kind and lovely Kerry & Steve are as humans - I accidentally - and I SWEAR this has NEVER happened before or after!!! - but in all of the rushing around and capturing photos, I … stepped on Kerry’s dress. Oh I was mortified. I couldn’t believe it, I was shocked, I was an emotional wreck apologizing over and over. And Kerry - sweet, wonderful Kerry - comforted ME. She couldda been devastated. She couldda slugged me. But she was so gracious and understanding and I will never forget it. So again, thank you Kerry! :P
